Discussion:
The email and SMS outreach strategy employed in this case study yielded notable results in terms of participant engagement and enrollment for the clinical trial.
With 4,456 members expressing interest and signing up for the study through the partner's online pre-screener, the outreach campaign demonstrated a significant level of effectiveness, accounting for over 10% of the contacted members. This high level of initial engagement underscores the importance of targeted and personalized communication methods in recruiting participants for clinical trials.
Out of the total sign-ups, 1,620 members were deemed eligible for the study after undergoing further review. This step highlights the necessity of thorough screening processes to ensure that enrolled participants meet the necessary criteria for the trial.
A crucial aspect of the enrollment process involved obtaining medical records from interested participants to verify their eligibility. While 289 members signed agreements for their medical records to be retrieved, successful acquisition was achieved for 240 members. This phase emphasizes the importance of establishing clear and efficient procedures for obtaining and verifying participant information.
Subsequently, 92 members formally consented to participate in the trial, indicating a significant level of commitment from the eligible participants. This stage reflects the importance of transparent communication and informed consent in maintaining ethical standards throughout the recruitment process.
Finally, 32 members were randomized and successfully enrolled in the clinical trial. This final step underscores the culmination of efforts in participant recruitment and highlights the successful outcome of the outreach strategy in achieving the trial's enrollment objectives.
